2. Introduction / Consent
We process your data for the provision of our services, for the handling and maintenance of the customer and contractual relationship, the guarantee of a high quality of service, for the safety of operation and infrastructure, for the analysis of the use of our services as well as for marketing purposes.
In the following, we will inform you in more detail about what information we collect from you when you use our services, how and for what purposes we process this data, and to whom we may disclose this information. In addition, you will receive information about what rights you have with regard to the use of your data to us.
3. Processing of Personal Data
Processing means any handling of data, regardless of the means and procedures used, in particular the collection, storage, use, reworking, posting, archiving or deleting of data (hereinafter "editing").
4. Scope and Purpose of Processing Data
When using our services and while in contact with Bitcontrol (such as when purchasing our services, visiting our website or in contact with employees of Bitcontrol) we process your data for different purposes. For example, we process data to fulfill our contractual obligations, to ensure a high quality of service, to billing, to care for and administer our customer relationship and communication, to develop and improve our services, to ensure the security of services and infrastructure, to get in contact with you and to provide you with tailored services, content and advertising.
This can be processed:
- Information you provide when you purchase or register for a service (eg name, gender, date of birth, address(es), e-mail address(es), telephone number(s), credit card and account information, passwords, information about subscribed advertising).
- Contract data (such as contract date, type, content, partner, duration, value, adjustments).
- Data that you exchange in contact with us, such as in the communication via telephone, fax, e-mail, text and picture messages (SMS/MMS), video messages or instant messaging as well as any reactions to the communication and offers of Bitcontrol.
- Data that is determined and recorded during your visit to digital services such as web pages using web server technologies (see in particular sections 5 and 6). These include, but are not limited to, the IP address of the device used, user-accessed pages and search terms, time and duration of visits, responses to Bitcontrol and third-party offers, reference / exit URL, browser and device type information, operating system, and Internet Service Provider).
We collect and store this information and data either on our behalf, on third-party servers (see section 5) or possibly locally on your device, using mechanisms such as your browser's web storage (including HTML 5) and application data caches.
5. Disclosure of Data to Third Parties
In order to be able to offer you our services, we also cooperate with other companies and persons or commission them with the processing and storage of data. These can get access to your data.

In particular, to fulfill the contractual obligations, in connection with the provision of specific services, for collection and marketing purposes, for use analysis or for the maintenance of the operation of our infrastructure, third parties, in particular distributors or suppliers, may also have access to data. Where possible and appropriate, we will anonymise your personal data in a suitable manner. We also oblige contractors to process the data in such a way and only disclose as much information as is necessary for the fulfillment of the respective purpose of the contract.

A cookie is a small file that is sent to your computer or automatically saved to your computer's or mobile device's hard drive by your web browser when you visit one of our services. There is neither an identification of the user nor a connection between these automatically collected information and stored personal data.
8. Web Analytics & Tracking Tools
In addition, the use of our services is measured and evaluated by means of various technical systems, mainly by third-party providers. These web analytics and tracking tools provide us with information and statistics that help us better understand the use of our services and adapt them to user needs.

9. Social Media Plugins and Further Integration of Offers from Third Parties
Our services may be linked to different functions and services of third parties.
When visiting our services, which contain such plugins, a connection to the server of the respective provider can be established automatically. In this case, certain data (such as the time of the visit of the corresponding service, browser type, IP address) is detected and stored by the latter. If you have a user account with one of these providers, they can assign this information to your profile. 10. Protection of Personal Data / Security / Retention Period
We take reasonable technical and organizational precautions to protect your personal information from unauthorized access and misuse. These are regularly reviewed and adapted to technological progress. Nevertheless, we can not assume any liability for the loss of data or their knowledge and use by third parties.
We only store data for as long as we are required by law or necessary for the fulfillment and for the purpose of our contractual relationship.
11. Right to Information and Cancellation

Please note that a deletion request for your personal data may conflict with legal or contractual retention requirements (for billing purposes, for example). We also draw your attention to the fact that by deleting your personal data some services may no longer be available to you or can only be used partially.
